The insurance company handling the case asked us to provide a bid in order to determine the cost that would be required to restore the landscaping. The pool had debris in it in the form of glass, plastic, and metal from an accident involving a vehicle. The insurance company provided us with the pool dimensions as well as pictures showing the nature of the debris and damage.
Review of Pool Information by an Inspector
One of our professional inspectors reviewed the information provided by the insurance company. After reviewing the pool information, our inspector made the following observations on what restoring this pool would entail:
- Pool water would need to be drained in order to access other areas of the pool
- Debris would have to be removed form the landscaping
- Surface of the pool would need to be brushed and cleaned
- Drain lines would need to be cleaned
- Pool water would need to be refilled
- Pool water should be tested and chemicals balanced
- Filter should be cleaned
Final Bid for Colton, CA Pool Cleaning
While cleaning the pool would be a complicated process for any pool professional, including draining the pool, removing the debris, and refilling the pool, our inspector determined that this process should not cost the insurance company or the insured more than $400. While any accident involving a vehicle coming into contact with a pool is bad news, in this instance the damage was minimal, and all that was required was a good, thorough cleaning.
